COVID-19 PCR Testing

COVID-19 TESTING PROCESS FOR TRAVELLERS

The FGIH COVID-19 PCR Saliva home sampling kit is fully validated for detection of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. A negative PCR test is the only test result accepted by airlines and other countries.

Please see our FAQs for more information on the test itself and the home sampling kit process. Make sure you complete the collection date and time accurately as FGIH will need this information in order to issue a Travel Certificate with your negative result.

Samples are sent back using the pre-addressed and postage paid envelope provided. Please ensure that travel tests are posted in a PRIORITY post box, on the same day the test is taken. See here for your closest PRIORITY post box.

PCR tests must be processed between three and five days before the flight departure but you should confirm the requirements of your specific destination. You can find the most up-to-date guidance on the Foreign Office website.

Please ensure that you order the kit AT LEAST 10 DAYS before you are due to travel due to the significant pressure on Royal Mail to deliver timeously. If ordering on a Sunday please add an extra day to the process. Whilst the FGIH uses the Royal Mail Tracked 24 Service handling and delays are outside of our control

PLEASE NOTE:
Should you test positive for COVID-19 you will NOT be issued with a Travel Certificate. You should follow the latest Government guidelines on self-isolation and managing your symptoms, should they develop.
